Music Lessons - Miss Roper

Miss Roper teaches Piano and Cello.

To cancel music lessons, please give one term's notice. This is because we have to provide our visiting teachers with sufficient notice to change their contracted hours.

From September 2025, music theory lessons will no longer be compulsory for pupils learning an instrument. Instead, theory will continue to be taught within instrumental lessons in a practical and engaging way.

However, once pupils begin working towards graded exams, they may benefit from dedicated theory tuition to support their understanding.

If you would like your child to attend a theory lesson, we are offering a weekly group session at 8.10am on Friday mornings, at a cost of £3.50 per 20-minute lesson.  We will look to open another group session if oversubscribed.

Alternatively, we can offer individual theory lessons at £12 per 15-minute session.
